Fred was born in 1923.  Fred's father was Arnoldo WOLF STÖWHAS and his mother was Margarita LORENZ.  His paternal grandparents were Wilhelm WOLF NAUCHMÜLLER and Mathilde STÖWHAS GEBAUER. He had three brothers and a sister, named Joseph, Erwin, Arnoldo and Ilse.  He was the second oldest of the five children.
