Hugo was born on January 27th, 1897 in Bayreuth.  Hugo's father was Emil Holzinger and his mother was Hanna Diedenhofer.  His paternal grandparents were Yermiahu Holzinger and Fanny Weinschenk.  He had a brother named Theo.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died  due to Holocaust at the age of 45 in October 1942 in Auschwitz, Poland.
