Thomas' father was King Edward I and his mother was Margaret.  His paternal grandparents were King Henry III and Eleanor of Provence; his maternal grandparents were Philip III King of France and Mary of Brabant. He had a brother named Edmund of Kent. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named King Edward II, Elizabeth of England, Joan and Margaret.
