Sigrid was born in 1566.  Sigrid's father was Eric XIV King of Sweden and his mother was Karin Mansdotter.  His paternal grandparents were Gustalf I (Gustav Eriksson "Gustav Vasa") King and Regent of Sweden and Catherine of Sax-Lauenberg. He had a brother named Gustaf.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 67 in 1633.
