Shobab's father was David King of Isreal.  His paternal grandfather was Jesse. He had sixteen brothers and a sister, named Solomon King of Isreal, Shammauh, Eliphalet, Ibhar, Elishua, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Eliada, Nathan, Chileab, Amnon, Absalom, Adonijah, Shephatiah, Ithream and Tamar.  Shobab is no longer alive.
