Robert of Dreux's father was Louis VI King of France and his mother was Adelaide of Muarienne.  His paternal grandparents were Philip I King of France and Bertha of Holland. He had three brothers and a sister, named Louis VII King of France, Peter of Courtenay, Henry Archbishop of Rhiems and Constance.
