Leopold's father was Albert I King of Spain and his mother was Elizabeth of Tyrol.  His paternal grandparents were Rudolf I King of Spain and Anna of Hohenberg. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Frederick I King of Spain, Rudolf King of Bohemia, Albert II of Austria, Henry, Otto, Agnes, Elizabeth and Anna.  He died in 1326.
