Hugh's father was Robert II ( the Pious) King of France and his mother was Constance of Arles.  His paternal grandparents were Hugh Capet King of France and Adela. He had two brothers and a sister, named Henry I King of France, Robert Duke of Burgundy and Adela.  He died in 1025.
