Gracie was born in 1891.  Gracie's father was Valentine Jr. Gill Hall and her mother was Mary Livingston.  Her paternal grandparents were Valentine G. Hall and Susan Tonrele; her maternal grandparents were Dr. Edward Hunter Ludlow and Elizabeth Livingston. She had a brother and a sister, named Elliott Jr. and Anna.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 50 in 1941.
