Virginia was born on May 4th, 1906.  Virginia's father was Samuel Halbert and her mother was Gertrude Stockdale.  Her paternal grandparents were John Daniel Halbert and Mary Rowland. She had four brothers named Paul, Loren, Earl and Stanley.  She was the second oldest of the five children.
