John was born in 1750 in Graine, Arthuret,Cumbria.  John's father was John ERRINGTON and his mother was Mary WRIGHT.  His paternal grandparents were James ERRINGTON and Margaret BARN. He had a sister named Mary.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 84 in August 1834.  He was buried on August 25th, 1834 in Hunley Moss, Scaleby, Cumbria.1 1
