Owain (Owen the Great) Gwynedd ap Gruffydd

Owain, known as Owen the Great, was born in 1087 in Caernvonshire, Wales. Owen the Great's father was Grufydd ap Cynan and his mother was Angharad Verch Owain. His paternal grandparents were Cynan ap Iago and Rhanullt O'Olaf; his maternal grandparents were Owain ap Edwin and Morwyl Verch Ednywain. He had a sister named Susanna. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 82 in December 1169 in Caemarvonshire, Wales.
