Klemens Wenzel Nepomuk Lothar was born on May 15th, 1773 in Koblenz.  Klemens Wenzel Nepomuk Lothar's father was František Jiøí Karel Josef Jan Nepomuk Metternich-Winnenburg-Beilstein, von and his mother was Maria Beatrix Antonie Aloisie Kagenegg, von.  His paternal grandparents were Johann Hugo Franz Metternich-Winnenburg-Beilstein, von and Klara Luisa Elisabeth Kesselstadt, von. He had two brothers and a sister, named Josef, Friedrich Ludwig and Paulina Kunigunde Walburga.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 86 on June 11th, 1859 in Wien.  He was buried in Plasy.
