Maria Arthur was born on January 12th, 1829 in Horní Maršov. Maria Arthur's father was Alfons Gabriel Aichelburg, von und zu and his mother was Josefa Sophia Sidonia Schaffgotsch, von. His paternal grandparents were Maria Franz Josef Anton Aichelburg, von and Franziska Maria Porcia; his maternal grandparents are Jan Josef Schaffgotsch, von and Jana Antonie Studnièková.
