Jan was born on August 16th, 1625 in Rumst, Antwerp, Belgium.  Jan's father was Peter Voorspoels and his mother was Anne Coryns.  His paternal grandparents were Joachim Voorspoels and Anna Heynsberghs. He had a brother named Adriaan.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 39 on June 11th, 1665 in Rumst, Antwerp, Belgium.
