Jan was born in 1585 in Steenhuffel, Belgium.  Jan's father was Huilbrecht De Boeck and his mother is Ursulla van der Stappen.  His maternal grandparents are Christoffel van der Stappen and Elisabeth Laureys.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 86 in May 1671 in Steenhuffel, Belgium.  He was buried on June 1st, 1671 in Steenhuffel, Belgium.
