Archie was born on January 11th, 1926.  Archie's father was Harry Sandler and his mother was Polly Freed.  His paternal grandparents were Ber Sandler and Bella; his maternal grandparents were Nachum Freed and Hanna. He had a brother and a sister, named Noel and Freda.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 61 on September 18th, 1987 in Johannesburg.  He was buried at the West Park Cemetery.
