Gerhard was born in 1875 in Lower Saxony, Germany.¹   He died at the age of 68 on December 8th, 1943 in Monticello, Jones County, Iowa.  He was buried at the Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello, Jones County, Iowa.^1 1 

 Fred Gerdes Zimmermann
Fred was born on September 2nd, 1877 in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany.¹   He died at the age of 49 on December 25th, 1926 in Monticello, Jones County, Iowa.  He was buried at the Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello, Jones County, Iowa.^1 1

  • Fred was a resident of Monticello during the past four years and died at the John McDonald Hospital on Dec 25. He had been in ill health for a number of years. His condition was such that he ws taken to the hospital for treatment a week before his death. He returned to his home and was later returned to the hospital.
    Fred was born in Hanover, Germany. He emigrated to the United States in 1898 and came directly to Jones Co. He bought a small farm in the Hardscrabble community, which he later sold, to purchase another farm closer to Monticello, Iowa.
    In 1922 he sold that farm and moved to Monticello. Fred never married.
    The funeral services were held at St Matthews Lutheran. He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery. (Notice from the Monticello Expess).
    

 Ahrend Gerdes Zimmermann
Ahrend was born on September 1st, 1879 in Germany.¹   He died at the age of 34 on October 8th, 1913 in Jones County, Iowa.  He was buried at the Wayne Zion Cemetery, Jones County, Iowa.^1 1 

 Mino Gerdes Zimmermann
Mino was born on March 2nd, 1881 in Germany.  He died at the age of 67 on February 14th, 1949 in Iowa.  He was buried at the Wayne Zion Cemetery, Jones County, Iowa.¹ 

 Hieska (Kate) Zimmermann
Hieska, known as Kate, was born on September 12th, 1886 in Germany.  She died at the age of 53 on April 6th, 1940 in Iowa.  She was buried at the Wayne Zion Cemetery, Jones County, Iowa.¹
