Maria (Ria) Magdalena Treurnicht

Maria, known as Ria, was born on October 10th, 1922.¹ Ria's father was Arend Simeon Treurnicht and her mother was Maria Magd. Johanna Theron. Her paternal grandparents were Wilhelm Georg Treurnicht and Margaretha Johanna Von Willigh. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Willem (Wille), Johannes, Christiaan, Arend, Nicolaas, Joacobus, Petrus, Martha, Margaretha, Susanne, Wilhelmina and Johanna. She died at the age of 67 on June 6th, 1990. She was buried in Riebeek-Kasteel, Main Cemetery, Western Cape, South Africa.¹¹
