Peter was born about 1847 and his baptism took place on November 21st, 1847 in 25th and 28th Infantry Regiments, Aachen, Rheinland, Prussia.1   Peter's father was Friedrich Wilhelm Trauernicht and his mother was Dorothea Hahn. He had a brother named Peter.  He was the older of the two children.
