Oscar was born in 1897 in Texas.1   Oscar's father was Julius Trauernicht and his mother was Mary Hirth.  His paternal grandparents were Gustav Trauernicht and Anna. He had two sisters named Mary and Christine.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 15 on July 17th, 1912 in Houston, Harris County, Texas.  He was buried at the Magnolia Cemetery, Houston, Harris County, Texas.1 1
