Johanna, known as Anna, was born on March 10th, 1867 in New Douglas, Madison County, Illinois.1   Anna's father was Albert  Janßen Trauernicht and her mother was Maria Habben Buhr.  Her paternal grandparents were Johann Garrelts Trauernicht and Moder Tönnjes (Luken). She had two brothers and six sisters, named John, Habbo, Johanna, Mary, Gebka, Katrina, Mollie and Minnie.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 73 on September 29th, 1940 in Nokomis, Montgomery County, Illinois.  She was buried on October 2nd, 1940 in St. Paul's Cemetery, Nokomis, Montgomery County, Illinois.1 1 



Anna's family

Anna and Dietrich were married in a religious ceremony on March 3rd, 1886.  They had three sons and seven daughters, named John, William, Emil, Caroline, Marie, Rose, Ann, Helena, Ida and Luella.
