John was born on May 13th, 1866 in Ostfriesland, Germany.  John's father was Siebolt Siemering and his mother was Elizabeth Sasson. He had a sister named Grethe.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 88 on May 24th, 1954 in Gothenburg, Dawson County, Nebraska.



John's family

John and Trientje (Tena) were married in a religious ceremony on January 31st, 1892.  They had three sons and three daughters, named Ted, George, Siebolt, Sophia, Grace and Ellen.
