Friedrich was born in 1810 in Aurich-Oldendorf, Lower Saxony, Germany.  Friedrich's father was Jan Friedrichs and his mother was Aaltje Jansen.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 62 on March 12th, 1872 in Holtrop, Aurich, Lower Saxony, Germany.
