Heinrich was born in 1701 in Aurich-Oldendorf, Lower Saxony, Germany.  Heinrich's father was Hippe Tammen and his mother was Anke Hinrichs. He had two brothers and a sister, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Tamme, Haye, Moder, Hippen and Hippen.
