Orpha was born on May 12th, 1760 in Chester County, Pennsylvania, USA.1   Orpha's father was Daniel Stubbs and her mother was Ruth Gilpin.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Stubbs and Mary Minor; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Gilpin and Mary Caldwell. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Issac, Vincent, Thomas, Daniel, Mary, Hannah, Betty, Sarah, Ruth and Adah.  She died at the age of 70 in 1830 in Pennsylvania, USA.  She was buried in Westland Cemetery.
