Rachael Z. was born on June 2nd, 1858 in Lebanon, Linn, Oregon, United States.1   Rachael Z.'s father was Joseph Boliver Saltmarsh and her mother was Mary Ellen Klum. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Charles M., Bert S., Arthur Bird, Lyman G., Saltmarsh, Anna E., Sornoria L. and Lily J..  She was the fourth oldest of the nine children. She had two half-sisters named Madison and Cora.  She died  due to Y at the age of 57 on February 19th, 1916 in Oregon, United States.

‌Rachael Z. and Newton Orson were married in a religious ceremony on October 15th, 1877 in Jackson, Oregon, United States.1   They had a son and a daughter, named Wallace and Raveoal.
