Dolly was born on February 4th, 1924 in Concord, KY.1   Dolly's father was George Washington Dixon and her mother was Mary Caroline Sparks. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Garvin, Robert, Myrtle, Mildred, <Unknown> and <Unknown>.  Dolly and <Unknown> were twins. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named <Unknown>, Nannie, Mary, Rona and Emma.
