Died in WWII in a Beaufort bomber crash off the coast of Perth, Western Australia, shortly before he was due to go on leave and get married.
G. was the navigator / bombardier on the plane which crashed due to mechanical failure. Many Beauforts had been crashing due to unknown mechanical failure. On G's plane they were able to radio the cause of the mechanical failure - the ailerons got stuck. As a result all other Beauforts were modified to remedy this problem, and so prevented any further crashes due to this problem.
Gordon Gwynne Moore
Gordon was born in 1919. He died as a war casualty, Accidental plane crash, at the age of 25 on January 6th, 1944.
Dr. Richard James Lawrence Moore
Dr. Richard was born on July 15th, 1921. He died due to natural causes or old age at the age of 79 on October 17th, 2000.
Kathlyn Margaret Moore OAM
Kathlyn was born on November 15th, 1929 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She died at the age of 84 on December 4th, 2013 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
