Robert was born on July 24th, 1929 in Ocheyedon, Iowa.  Robert's father was Mr Frank McGranahan and his mother was Mrs Charlotte Stewart (McGranahan).  His maternal grandparents were John Stewart and Emily Mercy Long.  He had six brothers and three sisters, named Claude, John, Vincent Levern, Donald, Dwight Frederick, Daryl , Arleen, Vera and Orma Jean.  He died  due to Diabetes at the age of 45 on January 5th, 1975 in Ocheyedon, Iowa.  His burial was in Ocheyedon, Iowa.
