Jacob was born on November 25th, 1850 in Buchau Federsee, Donaukreis, Wuttemberg.  Jacob's father was Abraham Einstein and his mother was Helene Moos (Einstein).  His paternal grandparents were Ruppert Einstein and Rebecka Obernauer (Einstein).  He had four brothers and two sisters, named Raphael, August, Heinrich, Hermann, Jette and Rika.  He was the sixth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 62 in 1912 in Milano.
