Edward was born in 1961.  Edward's father is Edward (Ted) Moore Kennedy and his mother is Virginia Jones Bennett.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald.  He has two sisters named Kara and Patrick.  He is the second oldest of the three children.
