Cosme de Brum da's baptism took place on February 9th, 1653 in Matriz, Ribeira Grande, ilha de S. Miguel, Açôres - PORTUGAL. Cosme de Brum da's father is Capitão-Môr Manuel de Brum da Silveira e Frias and his mother is Guiomar Soeiro Camelo. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Alexandre de, António de, Ignâcio de Frias, Francisco de Santo António, Paulo de, Jerónimo de Brum da Silveira, Manoel Taveira e, Jerónima dos Santos and Catharina da. He died on February 24th, 1704 in Matriz, Ribeira Grande, ilha de S. Miguel, Açôres - PORTUGAL.General Notes

Foi á sua custa em 1641, em companhia de Francisco de Mello, embaixador, a França. Justificou a sua ascendência em 1659, escreveu várias obras citadas no Apparato á História Geneologica da Casa Real nº. 34 folha LVII, e na Biblioteca Histórica por José Carlos Pinto de Sousa, parte 8, e na dita (de Barbosa) Biblioteca Luzitana.
Instituio a Capela de S. Marçal em Nossa Senhora da Graça de Lisboa.
