Maria Beatriz was born on February 1st, 1915 on Rio de Janeiro, (Brazil).  Maria Beatriz's father was Cipriano Graco de Oliveira and her mother was Thyra Suckow de Oliveira.  Her maternal grandparents were Gustavo Adolfo de Suckow and Rita Clara Monteiro de Barros. She had two brothers and a sister, named Gustavo Adolfo, José Mariano and Heloisa Elvira.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
