Maria Cecília was born on February 11th, 1943 in Andirá; PR. Maria Cecília's father is Alderízio Marins and her mother is Guiomar Monteiro de Barros Marins. Her maternal grandparents were Caio Júlio César Monteiro de Barros and Guiomar Ramos Monteiro de Barros. She has two sisters named Maria Inês and Maria Luisa. She is the youngest of the three children.
