Dulcída's father was Sílvio Monteiro da Fonseca and her mother was Zilda Monteiro de Barros da Fonseca. Her maternal grandparents were Marco Aurélio Monteiro de Barros and Laura Manso Monteiro da Silva. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Mauro, Marco Aurélio, Gilson, Marita, Maria Estela and Marília.
