Matthäus was born on December 25th, 1680.  Matthäus' father was Peter Aisenbrey and his mother was Anna Margretha Ruef.  His paternal grandparents were Matthäus Aisenbrey and Maria Stritzinger. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Martin, Peter, Katharina, Anna and Anna.  He was the second oldest of the six children. He had three half-sisters named Eva, Kind and Kind.  He died at the age of 65 on April 10th, 1746.
