Covey was born in 1781 in Kirby Bedon, Norfolk and his baptism took place on July 31st, 1781 at St Andrews Church, Kirby Bedon, Norfolk.¹ Covey's father was John Littlewood and his mother was Mary. He was an only child. He died at the age of 80 in 1861 in Plumstead, Norfolk. He was buried on November 1st, 1861.²
