Thomas was born in 1664 in Aberdeen, Scotland.1  Thomas' father was Patrick Bruice and his mother was Janet Jackson.  His paternal grandparents were Alexander Bruice and Isbell Crowe.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 61 in 1725 in Portsoy, Aberdeen, Scotland..
