Mr Owen Phillips

Owen was born in 1505 in Kidwelly - Wales. Owen's father was Mr Thomas Phillips and his mother was Mrs Jane Dwinn. His paternal grandparents were Mr Philip Phillips and Mrs Jenet Lloyd; his maternal grandparents were Mr Henry Dwinn and Mrs Margaret Wogan. He died at the age of 100 on February 13th, 1605 in Clydey - Wales.

- Owen's occupation was The dates show that he lived about 100 years! Also, he had children at about age 15, and his father had him at about age 50. This can't be right..

      Recorded in the family archives from Picton Castle. Also found as "Sir Owen Philipps, Lord Kylsant, of Plâs Llanstephan" (The Francis Jones Archive, Carmarthenshire Families, Philips etc.) In 1583, Sir Owen Phillips of Orielton is recorded as Sheriff of Pembrokeshire (courtesy Carmarthenshire FHS)
