Daniel's occupation was Served in King Phillip's War and was given a grant of land in "Narraganett Number Four" (present day Greenwich, MA) which his son THomas claimed in 1734. Daniel was involved in a lawsuit according to the Plymouth County records: "Abraham Jackson, of Plymouth, complaineth against Daniel Ramsdell, of Plymouth, aforesaid, cooper, in an action of the case, to the damage of 6 pounds, for non-payment of the sume of three pounds and ten shillings, which he is indebted to the said Abraham Jackson, for money lent and other goods, which he neglecteth to satisfy. The jury find for the plaintiffe his debt due on booke, upon ballence of the account, two pounds nineteen shillings and the cost of the suit.".
