Henry was born on April 20th, 1554 in Halifax - England and his baptism took place on April 20th, 1544 in Ovenden - England.1   Henry's father was Mr Henry Best and his mother was Mrs Margarita Maud (Mawd).  His paternal grandparents were Mr Richard Best and Mrs Johanna; his maternal grandparents were Mr John Maud and <Unknown>.  He died at the age of 74 in 1628.1
