Sarah Jane was born on May 5th, 1812 in Woodchurch, Kent and her baptism took place on May 31st, 1812 in Wesleyan, Woodchurch, Tenterden.  Sarah Jane's father was James Austen and her mother was Elizabeth Unknown.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 72 on October 3rd, 1884 in NSW, Australia.
