Sarah was born in tradition says from, Salisbury, Essex, Massachusetts.1   Sarah's father is Edward Allen and her mother was Sarah.  Her paternal grandparents are Hope Allen and Rachel. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Edward, Jacob, "Son", Rachel, Leah and Elizabeth.  She died on July 12th, 1770 in Dover, Strafford, New Hampshire.2
