Mary was born in June 1605 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England.  Mary's father was John Shatswell and her mother was Judith Shatswell.  Her paternal grandfather is ? Shatswell. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Richard, John, Theophilus, Curwin, Sibyl Elizabeth, Margaret and Judith.  She died at the age of 88 on April 28th, 1694 in Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts.1
