Thomas was born on October 19th, 1664 in Plymouth, Plymouth, Massachusetts.1   Thomas' father was John Thompson and his mother was Mary Thompson.  His paternal grandfather was John Thompson and his paternal grandmother is Mrs John Thompson; his maternal grandparents were Francis Cooke and Hester Cooke. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Adam, Peter, John, Jacob, Peter, Mary, Esther, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mercy and Lydia.  He was the nineth oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 78 on October 26th, 1742 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.  He was buried on October 26th, 1742 in Halifax, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts.1 1
