George was born in 1767 in Greenland, Rockingham, New Hampshire.1   George's father was William Simpson and his mother is Mary Simpson.  His paternal grandfather was William Simpson. He had three brothers and four sisters, named David, John, Joseph, Susanna, Mary, Martha and Jane. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Benjamin, William, Samuel and Margaret.  He died at the age of 83 on October 8th, 1850 in West Rumney, Grafton, New Hampshire.
