Joshua was born on June 20th, 1684 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts.1   Joshua's father was Joshua Sawyer and his mother is Sarah Wright.  His paternal grandfather was Thomas Sawyer and his paternal grandmother is Mary Prescott; his maternal grandparents were John Wright and Priscilla Byfield. He had six sisters named Abigail, Mary, Sarah, Hannah, Martha and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 53 on March 1st, 1738 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts.2
