Elizabeth was born in Methuen, Essex, Massachusetts.1   Elizabeth's father is Andrew Mitchell and her mother is Abigail Atwood.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mitchell and Mary Moulton; her maternal grandfather is Philip Atwood and her maternal grandmother was Rachel Bachelder. She had a sister named Rachel.  She died on September 22nd, 1757 in Methuen, Essex, Massachusetts.2
