Matthew was born on March 18th, 1667 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts.1   Matthew's father was Matthew Johnson and his mother was Rebecca Wiswall.  His paternal grandparents were Edward Johnson and Susan Munnter; his maternal grandfather is John Wiswall. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Samuel, Henry, Hannah, Sarah, Rebecca, Ruth and Lydia.  He died at the age of 62 on January 12th, 1730 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts.2
